For a comprehensive explanation of policy, please refer to The Graduate Handbook

All CS doctoral students are required to complete the fall and spring student reviews.

For EE, only first year doctoral students and any students needing a follow-up from the spring review need to complete the fall review. In the spring, all EE doctoral students need to complete the review.

Goals

  • Provide every student with detailed feedback on their progress, advice on the areas that need improvement, and an acknowledgment of accomplishments and strengths.
  • Discuss and agree on future goals and milestones.

Ultimately, we hope this progress review will help you achieve your degree goals in a timely manner, assist in your productivity, and allow you to discuss issues with your advisor on a regular basis.
