2026 Visit Days

Berkeley EECS Visit Days are scheduled for March 15-16, 2026. Additional information about Visit Days will be available through the EECS Visit Days Whova event app (coming soon). Be on the lookout for an email in early March to let you know how to access the Whova event app. There you will find details about the EECS Visit Days event schedule, logistics, and more.

Travel Expense Information

The EECS Department will provide up to $700 USD for international travelers, and up to $500 USD for out-of-state travelers within the U.S. to defray your travel costs to and from the UC Berkeley Visit Days. For those who are traveling to Berkeley Visit Days from within California, the EECS Department will provide a travel offset of up to $250 for in-state attendees who are traveling from outside of the Bay Area counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, and Solano (aka “local designated region”) and a $100 travel offset for local attendees (includes the Bay Area counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, and Solano). 

If you are attending EECS Visit Days with someone who has also been invited, please be aware that each person must purchase their own plane ticket. The name on the receipts and travel itinerary must match the traveler’s name.

Instructions for receiving travel offset funds:

  • Email your travel itinerary to visitday@eecs.berkeley.edu. (Note that the letter “s” does not appear at the end of “day” in this email address.) This is only required if you travel by airplane, train, or bus. 

Deadline: : Friday, March 27 at 5 pm PT. 

  • Check-in to Visit Days on Sunday morning, March 15, 2026.

The EECS graduate team will collect your wet signature when you check in on Sunday morning in Stanley Hall. Your signature is required at check-in to make the travel offset payment to you.

If you arrive late to the Visit Days and miss check-in on Sunday morning, or if you have arranged to visit UC Berkeley EECS on a different date sometime between Monday, March 16 and Wednesday, April 15, please email Glenna Anton (ganton@berkeley.edu) or Patrick Hernan (hernan@eecs.berkeley.edu) for further instructions.

Once you have checked in you will receive a prepaid card with instructions for how to access your travel offset funds. Further details will soon be available.
