Golden Bear Advising for New CS-intended Students

Golden Bear Advising (GBA), step 1 in the Golden Bear Experience, is an opportunity for new students to learn about campus academic resources, get an introduction to their college, and find out more about their intended major. Students will engage with both the college and major program advisors through GBA. In Computer Science, GBA will include:

  • communication with CS Advisors
  • an overview of academic resources
  • declaration and graduation requirements
  • how to find and choose courses for the first semester
  • tips on how to enroll
