The EECS Department sponsors a number of undergraduate research and support programs geared to underrepresented groups. Our two affiliated colleges also offer special graduate recruitment programs.

Computer Science Scholars Program

Offers a "home" within Cal for students from underserved backgrounds who might not have had access to resources that prepare them to succeed in computer science.

SRC Intel Undergraduate Research Opportunity

Undergraduates are matched with faculty mentors for sustained summer or academic year semi-conductor research.

A one-week introductory class to computer science targeting incoming UC Berkeley students who are curious about computer science .

Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley

Undergraduates are invited to spend 9 weeks on campus over the summer conducting research on "Collecting and Using Big Data for the Public Good" with supervision from EECS faculty and grad students.
