Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professors - Software and AI for the Chemical Sciences

The University of California, Berkeley seeks applicants for two faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank, whose research is at the interface of the computational, statistical, chemical, and physical sciences, including the development and deployment of new materials using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) methodology. The two positions to be filled are:

  • Machine learning applied to chemical sciences, joint between the Department of Chemistry and either the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) or the Department of Statistics;
  • Scientific software infrastructure, in the Department of Statistics.

Assistant/ Associate/ Full Teaching Professor - Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences and Data Science

The University of California, Berkeley invites applications for approved teaching-track positions in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences at the Assistant and Associate/Full Teaching Professor levels. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. There are two positions available, one at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank and one open-rank position (Assistant, Associate, or Full). Teaching Professors are full members of the academic senate and are eligible for Security of Employment, equivalent to tenure.

Assistant Professor - Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences

Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach Electrical Engineering or Computer Science courses should an opening arise. These are not tenure‐track positions – selected candidates will hold the title of Lecturer. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. Positions typically range from 17% to 100% time in a given semester. Due to budget restrictions, no funding is available for visa or relocation expenses.
