Paul Gray wins NAE Simon Ramo Founders Award
EECS Professor Emeritus Paul Gray has won the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Simon Ramo Founders Award.
The Simon Ramo Founders Award, established in 1965, is one of the NAE’s highest honors. The award recognizes an outstanding member who embodies the Academy’s ideals through exceptional achievement in their professional, educational, and personal endeavors.
Gray was cited “for contributions to modern analog integrated circuit design through research and education, and for leadership of academic, philanthropic, and corporate enterprises.”
Award recipients receive a “commemorative medal imprinted with a replica of the NAE seal, a stylized Roman aqueduct representing the bridge between science and society.” Gray will officially receive the award during the NAE Annual Meeting and 60th Anniversary Celebration on September 29th in Washington, D.C.
