Björn Hartmann elected to SIGCHI Academy
EECS Associate Professor Björn Hartmann has been elected to the Special Interest Group in Computer-Human Interaction (SIGCHI) Academy. The SIGCHI Academy is an honorary group of individuals who have made significant, cumulative contributions to shaping the field of human-computer interaction.
Hartmann co-founded the CITRIS Invention Lab in 2012 and previously served as the faculty director of the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation from 2016 to 2023. He holds the Paul and Judy Fray Alumni Presidential Chair in Engineering Excellence. Hartmann’s research interests include tools to support human ingenuity in domains, such as design, programming, and engineering.
