Alvin Cheung receives ACSIC Rock Star Award

CS Professor Alvin Cheung has been awarded the Rock Star Award for Mid-Career Investigators by the Association of Chinese Scholars in Computing (ACSIC). This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to computing within 12 years of completing their most recent computing-related degree.

The ACSIC Rock Star Award celebrates exceptional mid-career researchers who are shaping the future of computing through innovative, high-impact scholarship.

Professor Cheung was honored “for transformative work in improving the performance and correctness of database systems, and in program synthesis with applications in end-user programming tasks.” The award was presented at the recent ACSIC Symposium on Frontiers in Computing.
